I had that brush in my cart. When I hit checkout it went from available to out of stock! Very nice brush. Enjoy.

Sorry about that. There's no reserve in the cart or even check-out on Shopify. It's basically a race to pay. Our preference would be to have some reserve for first to check-out.

Not a problem (well I really did want the brush ) it was more my curiosity on how the system worked that would let that happen. I spent most of my working life fixing or designing mainframe operating system software where it is critical for some process to "own" a resource while updating it. I pretty much expected similar function here based on my experience. Now I know it's a "feature" of the system and I'll learn to love it.

We tried to get Shopify to restore the reservation feature for us. It was an exercise in futility.

Is there a way to auto save the credit card info in checkout? There used to be I'm certain as I kept my info saved in the cart checkout so I could just click right on complete order. Don't bother with PayPal as that's precious extra time taken up and you could lose out on getting that certain brush you want.

We haven't changed anything bearing on the payment process since we launched the site in March 2016. Shopify may have made changes we don't know about. That's outside our control.

No problem at all. I think they did as I couldn't find it looking. That's how I've snagged a few when I've tried to beat the drop rush. I believe there are programs that can auto populate payment fields for the user also, so that can be another route for someone to look towards to give an edge up.
