[Image: tA9VF44.jpg]Gentlemen,

Good-evening!  Tonight I am selling my vintage Mont Blanc Meisterstück 149 fountain pen!

This writing instrument is a timeless classic that never fails to send a statement.  This particular pen is from the late 80s/early 90s, and is in very good condition.  It has the huge beefy two tone gold bold nib, the piston works flawlessly, and the reservoir holds a ton of ink.  It writes beautifully!

The style has not changed in many decades, and if you get a tremendous deal on a new one you might be able to get this for around 900 retail.  I paid 395 dollars for this pen, and I am asking 315 shipped via USPS Priority mail to anywhere in the U.S.  PayPal is fine!  Thanks for looking!

Vr

Matt

PS. That squiggly thing under the pen cap is a fuzzie, and not a scratch!

Could you please post a few closeups of the nib and the feed. A writing sample would also be greatly appreciated

No problem! I will do it late tonight once I get back home. This was the only pic I had on my phone.

Gentlemen,

As promised...a writing sample, and some follow up pictures!  This pen is likely 30+ years old, so there are minor scratches that could likely be buffed out if that is an issue.  I will give it a nice polish before mailing her out!

Thanks!

Ha! If you wanted an EF out of the box...this is not the pen!

However, I always like to buy the big and bold beefy nibs, because then I can send them out to a nibMeister to have them tuned and ground down to my specs! The masters need the metal to work with to apply their craft!

Pendleton Brown and Mike Masuyama are at the top of the game for those services! Mr. Brown is a friend of mine, and does amazing work! The most recent work he did for me was to put a bold oblique nib on a LAMY 2000...and it is a real joy to write with when the mood strikes!

I also have a stupendous Pelikan M805 Demonstrator that has an EF which was ground by Masuyama! It is a dream!

If you are looking for a needlepoint, Franklin Christoph sells very handsome pens that are wonderfully pre-ground by Mike Masuyama! They also sell their pens with other nibs that he has ground and tuned across the spectrum!

Have a great rest of the weekend Alex!!

Thank you for the suggestions! I have a couple of Mr. Brown's nibs and cannot be happier. I recently acquired a Pelikan M805 Fine nib unit, which I am planning to send him for regrind. I was also eyeing a couple of FC pens, but still need to better prepare to safely inform my SWMBO about my new "projects". Smile

Ahahahah! I hear that!

I am glad that you have worked with Pendleton! He is a true gentleman! I love the “added flex” option that he offers. He did a Montegrappa for me that’s fantastic! I highly recommend that “added flex.”
