I'm trying to determine if I can add an attachment from my iPhone without using photobucket.

I can click on "Add Attachment", but I can't click on "Choose File". Is this not possible from iPhones or do I just need to change a setting somewhere?

Not Possible since Most forums look for a drive for which to upload the file from and the iPhone doesn't have a searchable drive. Use Photobucket.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. Guess I'll just keep using Photobucket, which I was planning on anyway. Was just curious if there was a quicker way to use on occasion.

Thanks all.

I've had good luck using the "imgur free" app with my iphone. It gives you a shortened URL for your picture... then you can add the start image tag, paste the URL, and add the end image tag.
It's a breeze! Biggrin

Thanks Brian. Photobucket works really well for me. Flickr on the other hand is so counter intuitive for me. I spent a day trying to understand it & it required about 3-5 more steps than photobucket did for the same actions. I may have to try imgur though.

+1 Still using my nine-year-old Compaq Presario that my brother modified for me.

Hey Brian, I ran across a developer app called Picup, that seems to describe being able to work-around the issue of not being able to *see* files in their iOS folders... I have not used it, since I use an Android (Samsung Galaxy S3), but it may be an option...

http://picupapp.com/
so it has to be available to some client side programs... like,

there is an app called Tapatalk, that seems to allow posting photos directly from the iPhone to many Forum types with a Mobile theme enabled... (it is in the iTunes App Store)

I couldn't get picup to work (I'll play a bit more with it) & I'll save the $3 on tapatalk (not sure the Nook is on there anyway) & keep using photobucket.

Apple added this functionality into iOS6. It works now. I attached the pic below from my iPad. Click add attachment and go

the forum software will resize it if it's larger than 800px wide.
