This is my "golden" idea for now. What do you think? Input welcome.

Stan, I believe you are linking these photos from another forum (Badger & Blade), which requires you to be a member of, and signed in to, that forum to view the linked photos.

I can see the photos. Is this razor plated or made out of a particular metal or alloy? In either case I like it.

Like the dull gold finish on it. Very classy.

It is plated 303 stainless. Thanks for your comment.

That looks very nice.

My only question would about the durability of the gold layer. I'm presuming that there is some way of sealing it so that it doesn't rub off as easily as it does on some vintage Gillette's?

It looks like the ATT Bronze special edition, without a patina.

Stan, what is the plating made of?

The plating is gold. The following quote should help.
Stan
"I do not clear coat my gold razors. I use a cobalt hardened 24K Gold. This type Gold is used on jewelry and watch cases. I also put 29 micro inches where other platers are advertising 8 micro inches. I have never had any complaints. It will wear off someday, but not as fast as others or the original Gillette gold. "

Yes. My thinking is to add a choice to the site so you can purchase any ATT razor and select a plating for an additional charge.
Plating would include Gold and Rhodium and I am working to keep this a moderate up charge. Still working on the final details.
Just wanted to reach out and determine interest.

Thank you, that means a lot. The razor world has become much more competitive since we started. That is a good thing, it keeps you on your toes.

I agree with you 100%. Your doing pretty fine on your toes with your great ideas. I really like the plating options idea very much. I am also very happy with the huge choice of high quality aluminum razors at a very fair price. I think with these great ideas and options ATT razors will always be a strong competitor!

Happy Shaving!
