I’m getting married this Saturday. Among the myriad of thoughts racing through my mind recently has been what kit I should use to shave with on my wedding day. Here’s what I’ve settled on:

Razor: Aristocrat Junior
Blade: GSB
Brush: Rudy Vey 22mm TGN 2 band
Soap: Haslinger Schafmilch
Post Shave: Alum, Thayers witch hazel with menthol, Pinaud Clubman

What was your wedding day shave kit?
Have a great day!

Congratulations on your nuptials, dmshaver!

Mine was a Mach 3 in the shower.

Congratulations on getting married! I myself got married not too long ago and was faced with the same decision, so I know how you feel for sure.

Razor: Birth Year BBS-1 (#86)
Blade: Voskhod
Brush: Plisson Synthetic (We stayed in a hotel so didn't want to bring the badger)
Soap: Nuavia Blue
Aftershave: C&E Moroccan Myrrh

Was a nice combo and remember being satisfied with my choice afterwards

This is my second. My first wedding was over 30 years ago & I don’t remember what my shave kit was that day. Most likely, an electric.

Mine is coming in December. I think I will be going with:
- Face: ATT SE1, feather pro, a hybrid lather I've been quite satisfied with: Soapy Science and Siliski unscented, and a relofted Omega, natural oils aftershave.
- Head: Blackland Sabre with a GEM, followed by Headblade with a Sensor, Shick I1 around ears, same hybrid lather, same brush, same aftershave.
I would prefer a str8 shave but with all the gear I'll use, the additional hassle of bringing a strop and leaving the razor open to dry in a hotel ... seems a little too much even to me.

Congratulations. Whichever kit you choose, get in practice now and get her permission. LOL

Good choice of soap, but . . .
If you are thinking about shaving on your wedding day — instead of how you will fulfill your spouse’s needs and hopes and dreams . . ..
Refocus.

To answer your last question, a Ronson (rebranded Braun) electric shaver.   It is not that I remember it, per se, but that it was the only means, at that time, that I had access to that could reduce the daily growth of stubble.  My thoughts, that day, were elsewhere.

Bon voyage on your matrimonial journey!

Congratulations in order. Hope you have a long lasting happy life together.

A relaxing shave the morning of will be the last one you have as a single man for many years most likely. Make it a good one buddy.

Congrats! Mine would have been a Mach 3, with no shave cream. I'm not kidding I used to dry-shave until 2013; I've come a long way.

Uh, and I hope Mel was kidding, grooms are allowed to think about themselves too!

I didn’t slice myself up shaving on my wedding day. The wedding was beautiful and I am happier than I have ever been!
