I am thinking of buying a HMW brush # 20. Because it is very expensive (750 euros), is there some review to read to get some information? Or if someone has it or knows it can give some advice?

For a moment I saw that it does not seem to be the same. It is possible for a moderator to send me the link to the e-mail address?

There's few very interesting treads for Plisson in this forum just have to search in the brush section. I do have two Plisson size 12 & 16 HMW and although they are great brush the quality is not the same as used to be. The common problem is shedding and I highly recommend if you want to spend that kind of money to buy ONLY from AUTHORIZED retailer. The benefits is One year warranty against defective knots . I spend some 300$ for my size 12 and was replaced 3 THREE times during warranty period given me from Plisson. Please fill free to p.m. me if you need more information.
Good luck.

I do not own a Plisson badger, but I have read this same thing on other forums.
Quality has dropped on the new brushes...….Or, are other "makers" just making
awesome brushes?

I forgot to mention that current production Plisson HMW is not worth it's price. You pay top dollars for the horn handle and the brand.
The two band Plisson knots in size 16 and up was the talk in all forums few years ago and is the holly grail of the brand.

I have owned 4 Plisson brushes, 2 modern HMW and 2 vintage ones.  Within that very limited experience, my impression, like that of some others, was that the vintage brushes had significantly better quality hair.

As I saw carefully the two pictures seem to be not the same. I can not tell from the pictures if there is a difference in hair but there is definitely a difference in the handle. Specifically, the base of the handle is different and possibly in that of the polish market is made of plastic. I will ask the store for this issue. Now that I look more closely at the hairs look different. They look two band and three band.

This fall in quality over time unfortunately seems to be true for many products.

It's very hard to compete with super cheap products from you know where that many times work equally well. Most people care about functionality and cost not where it's made or heritage. Hard to stay in business when you have just a very niche market of crazy people like us.
