Arrived today. Now, since I saw the V-2, I had this nagging feeling that I had seen it b/4. I mean, a long time ago.
But how? When ? Where?  Then I remember...... Facepalm

Reminds me of a 90° rotated handle One Blade.

I need to apologize for my humor directed towards this razor. I Do Apologize... Bow
This IS a F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C razor. It looks strange and sooo little razor there, I mean it's
all gone! That handle, looks uncomfortable. Not true, quite "intuitive" when you use it.
That open head did intimidate me......no, it scared me. But it holds the blade and it works.
There's a lot of science here.....I mean Rocket Science......Maybe MAD scientist science.
My first shave I used the 2 dot head, I figured I would have to go 1 dot (mild), but the 2
is fine. I think this is the first....maybe second time I've used a Feather blade and NOT
got at least one weeper. Gave me a great shave, I really like it. Now, my experience is
limited, I've only got 13 other razors to compare it to. Have another one coming in a day or two,
but right now this is in the top three.

An update...I've had 6 really nice shaves. I can use this everyday with little or no irritation, which is usually soap related for me, I think.
This "thing" just glides across my face so smooth with the lightest of touch. I think 6 is the max number of shaves I can do on a blade.
The only negative is the large blade size, takes a little adjustment to technique, but that's minor. I'm happy and would buy again.

I would agree.  Smooth and irritation free shaves.  For me, the lighter weight improves maneuverability which offsets the larger blade.  Still learning the best technique.

As my first and only SE razor, I somehow thought the blades lasted 2-3 times longer than DE blades.   5-6 shaves per blade is disappointing and expensive.

Most people can get many more shaves than 5 or 6 with these blades.

Is there any difference between the V.1 and V.2 besides the skeletonized handle on the V.2?  The shave's the same, right?

The head was modified too. The solid bar was made thinner to get into tight places, some people complained about a rattle that was designed in the head to allow the blade to
float ever so slightly. That rattle was removed. From my understanding the V-2 is better. I have never used a V-1.

I usually get 8 to 10 shaves with the artist club blades and could get more but I don't push it---Also shave my head with them but with a different razor and can get 15 head shaves because of doing only 1 and 1/2 passes daily.

No offence meant, but I wouldn't buy/use this thing, even if it gave the best shaves on earth in one pass. It looks horrible, and I buy my razors partly bc I admire the beauty of the thing itself and the craftsmanship involved.

Just my optinion of course Biggrin

Sure, no offence taken....I didn't design it.  Cheers I got a beautiful, engraved Army Officer Dress Sabre that can't cut butter...….It's just for ceremonial wear.
If I had to use a sword in combat, well.....I'd want an M-16... Winky

I can usually get about 8 or 9 shaves from an artist club blade.

Well, I'll give it another try tomorrow with the old blade and see if it goes more than six.

Remember that how you shave affects the number of shaves you get from a blade.  A one-pass shaver will get more shaves from a blade than a four-pass shaver.  And a shaver who makes more strokes per pass will get fewer shaves than someone who makes fewer strokes per pass.  I assume the coarseness and thickness of your beard affects how many shaves you get from a blade too.

Mussolini said he only got one shave per blade because his beard was so tough.  That's what he said anyway....

I don't know how you guys get so many shaves per blade. I get 2-3 and then they feel like a paint scraper.
