So I received a couple complimentary packs from Phil with an order from BullGoose:

The packaging is cardboard, and the blades inside, come in the envelopes, and then the wax-paper wrapped blades in the envelopes.

I had used a Bolzano blade the previous week, and wanted to quickly compare the Polsilver to the Bolzano (this is one of my favorite blades!)

My day-1 was with the new iKON S3S with Bamboo handle, and wow, I had to remember that the razor is heavy, and this Polsilver blade is sharp! About the same feeling I got when I used a Bolzano for the first time with the same razor- respect is needed! The shave was was not as smooth as I hoped for, and I had some irritation- much like I got from the Bolzano on my first use of it.
Alum test- screaming!!! Tongue

My day-2 shave was in the less aggressive, easy to handle Weber ARC with Bulldog handle. The Polsilver seems to be much tamer in the Weber ARC, and it may have dulled slightly, and this provided a very close (DFS)shave!

I couldn't stop rubbing my face for quite awhile after shaving- it felt great! Blush
Alum test- barely could tell I used it today Biggrin

These blades are a keeper- especially in a low-to-mid aggressive razor, very well priced, and as soon as I get some more funds replenished into my PayPal... well, Phil and BullGoose will get an order from me!
Biggrin

The SI's are the best blade I have ever used, performs great in every razor that I have tried them in.

All the hype which the get is true, some others blades are close, but none are as good.

+1...I have yet to try the Polsilvers as I still have about a 1 year supply of the original SIs, but a great blade indeed...the only DE blade I will use!

The Polsilver SI are as good as any blade I have ever tried.
The performance may vary from razor to razor and beard to beard but they are constantly excellent.

I haven't tried these, but the old SIs are certainly great blades. If these are equivalent, they're a bargain.

Just ordered 100, tried one out for a couple of days and found it to be very sharp and smooth. It is almost as sharp as the feather, but much smoother.

They're among my very best blades.

Yup, Bolzano are good too, but there was something about them that kept them out of the "very best of" group.

I should corrrelate the data and post it some day. If it wasn't so "YMMV" I'd have more incentive to do it.
