Nowadays I pretty rarely acquire new shaving paraphernalia, but sometimes a new item just pops up, usually a shaving brush, and I just have to go for it... so I thought I'd share this one.

It's a pretty rare vintage Simpson brush with a horn handle, and in NOS condition to boot. I actually don't recall ever seeing another one like it, but I could be wrong.

According to Mark, it should be around 30-40 years, so Somerset era. Anyway, here are a couple pics:

Very nice. I wonder if "Pure" meant something different back then. That looks like some nice hair.

Great find David.  I'm usually not into vintage brushes, but would definitely have grabbed that one if it the opportunity presented itself.
