My favorite brand of shaving soap!

I have dolomiti, manna, felce, tundra and now Stella on the way.

Dolomiti in the black puck...it's my favorite soap ever! I absolutely adore the scent!!

I rotate an SV soap every Sunday.

Are their after shave balms worth buying?

They last a long time since you only need a few drops and the scents are true to the soaps but the scent fades quicker than I would like. Having said that I have to admit I got compliments from 2 women after I had thought the scent had faded. I've tried Mirto, Stella, Felce and Dolomiti. Seems to do a good job of treating the skin post shave.

The 70th balm scent stays active for a long time, but the scent stays close to the wearer.

Some of the aftershaves are what I look forward to over the shave soaps themselves. They tend to be very pleasant on my skin, Tundra and Manna for instance. Opuntia is also very unique as well and feels luxurious.

I am a big fan of SV.  I have all of their soaps and I love them.  Top tier for me!  But the balms ... let me say ... I've seen better ones (and if I'm completely honest I should say much better ones).  Of course YMMV.

Before SV, I found Derby blades awful. Rough and uncomfortable.  Used one today and almost as good as Polsilvers! The magical properties of SV.!! Some soaps may LOOK as good, but are not as good when you shave.

Any soap that can make a Derby seem like a Polsilver would in itself seem like magic to me.

I'm sure it was not my imagination! It's just that I never had a shave with a Derby as good as today. I use the soapy stuff from loading my brush as a great pre shave.

SV w/ Derby blade. I tried, used Opuntia......IMHO it WAS NOT as good as Polsilver…..BUT it WAS a better shave than I've had with other soaps and Derby. I've a load of Derby blades to use.... Cheers
And I believe SV will make ANY blade better and there are other soaps that MAY do the same.

I wish they made unscented soap. Nothing against their scents, its just that my skin barely tolerates unscented soaps, and not very many.

My skin reacts against some scented soaps, but not the SV. Dolomiti is one which you could try as this is the first one I tried and noticed the improvement in my skin.
Second day with the Derby blade, and a smooth comfortable shave. Maybe NOT Polsilver standard but 100 times better than whenmi have used derby before.

I feel you, I have soap sensitivity issues too. But it doesn't stop me with the SV products. Today Stella Alpina.. Cheers
You might like to try NANCY BOY, it's all natural. Works for me.

Thank you. Will take a look at those and might as well give them a try.

I bought several and placed them in some Sapo Varesino square wooden boxes, and my girlfriend by mistake dropped one of my boxes with shaving soaps in them, and most of my Sapo Varesino soaps were there.

What happened to the girlfriend?

Since using SV, the blade has been Polsilver. So am trying other blades I abandoned. Derby was now good. GSB , excellent before, is really good , comfortable and so close .
I just realised what the lather is like .......a thin layer of wallpaper paste giving a really protective layer on your skin!

Cosmo and 70th have a cologne fragrance. If you like floral or citrus skip these two. However, fragrance aside, the slickness, glide and overall performance is nothing short of perfect IMHO.

GSB and SV is a great combination.
