So I did a quick inventory and... I have 7 tins of soap that I can see the doughnut hole on the bottom, with two having merely 2-3 shaves left. I can finish at least 4 of these, 2 aftershaves, and 1 balm by years end. Who’s with me?!

I have less than one shave of Van Yulay Seriously Lime left from a sample I got.  I have a donut ring of Stirling Lime left, also from a sample.  I have a smaller donut ring of Stirling Mountain Man left, also a sample.  I want to use them up so I can use the containers for more samples that are waiting to be tried.  I figure all three of these will be finished by the end of November.  The only reason it isn't sooner is because I enjoy switching off so much.

Wow! That’s impressive - I hope to see a donut one day - I mean, a guy can dream right?

Once I see doughnuts, soaps tends to linger.. in part since I want to hang on to them and use them less.

Unless a favorite, an 80-90% doughnut hole is binned.

I have 4 soaps coming in.  Goal is finsh 2, sell 2, and order my faorite Soapy Science.  All before year end.

I churn up the soap and press it flat and somewhat even once I can see the doughnut hole. This helps to release more soap into the brush during loading, making that last bit go faster. And with that, #1 Soap is finished.

I just realized that an aftershave & balm that are almost complete (reef Point Admirality) will be my last shaves with them, as RP is closing shop. Such a great scent.

Just developed a hole in my Mystic Waters Adirondack Jack.

Look forward to using it up and replacing it with another Mystic Waters puck.

When I saw the hole on my MLS I pressed it back down. "Donuts are fake news!" Wink

I want to finish my AOS by year end, it's been with me since 2013. Seems excessive for a cream but I am not too confident. Every time I think I'll finish a soap (like the MLS I mentioned above) I break down and switch after a few weeks. I have a partial tube of Arko cream too - it gets the job done but the menthol has dissipated.

I’ve finished three more soaps since my last post - and I still have a CRSW glide olfactory hue that’s just asking to be extinguished. Two splashes are a shave away from empty. I’m pretty proud to have finished this many products in a year. There are a few that I can’t wait to buy soon (CRSW citrus Maximus is high on the list)

Here are two soaps ready to be finished. On the left - CRSW olfactory hue. On the right, CRSW le chypre sombre. Both had a doughnut start, but I pressed the LCS irregularly so it would load more heavily.

I’m not close to donut in anything at the moment. It’s been at least six months since I saw one. I anticipate seeing my next donut hole in an ASW Old Virginia with an ASW Royal Fougere right behind. There are so many soaps in my rotation I’m a good year away from donut anywhere else.

Good luck and congratulations to everyone! May your next soap please you more than your last.

Mike, how's your effort going? Did you get through either of those soaps yet? I've been using AOS Sandalwood for almost a month. It's a cream so no donut, but after 5 years I'm starting to think it might actually get used up!
