I know the Glide base is out of this world, but is there another lavender scent you can think of that you would compare it to?

Nothing I have tried is comparable to this unique lavender. It has an interesting complexity to it. Larry’s description is accurate to my nose.

Think of it this way:

Oxford & Cambridge and MDC are sharp, dry & medicinal lavenders.

Mikes Hungarian Lavender and Castle Forbes are more floral, herbaceous lavenders.

Lavandula Bleu is more of a sweet lavender. There is a definite “sweetness” I do not detect in the more well known lavenders. And no camphor note.

Thanks, that's helpful.

The scent kurtis. If you want Glide performance reports use the search function.

Many lavender scents are rather sharp and astringent but this CRSW is what I would describe as soft and rounded. It is at the same time a little earthy and has a bit of sweetness that adds to it's depth. Very relaxing and calming and I'm really digging it.

Just ordered the Lavandula Blue along with the Select Bergamot & Bay. Can't wait, Larry makes some of my favorite scents and I've been missing the Bergamot & Bay.

On a side note, if you happen to read this Larry will Vétiver Moderne be making a reappearance anytime soon?

Caved and bought this. Should have bought the aftershave at the same time but wasn't sure. Nicest lavendar scented soap I've tried.

Favorite lavender scented soap. I will say that this is much softer than any of the othe Glide soaps that I own

I caved and bought some as I already own Olfactory Hue and Barbiere Sapone.

Will my SSAD ever go away?

Thank you everyone! Really happy Lavandula Bleu is a crowd pleaser.

Dave, in response to your Vetiver Moderne question. I hope to offer it again. The problem I’m running into is that one of the major fragrance components has been out of stock from our supplier with no ETA on its return. I’ve tried various other suppliers and none of them can match both the quality and profile. Fingers crossed that we can clear this hurdle in the not to distant future.

Thanks for the update Larry, I really hope you are able to somehow offer the Vetiver Moderne again. The Lavanula Bleu truly has an outstanding scent, a very powerful lavender and maybe the most strongly scented soap I have. The scent just explodes off the puck when I open the lid! There is something I pick up in it that reminds me a little of Lavanille from B&M but that is not to say that it smells like Lavanille (If that makes any sense). I was a little surprised at how soft it is as another member mentioned, seems to be much softer than the Olefactory Hue or Morning Ghost tubs I have. Mine is even a little wet around the edge of the jar. as you can see in the pic. I was going to leave the lid off to see if it will dry out a little.

Happy to hear you are liking the scent Dave and thank you for saying so. It's quickly becoming one of my favorites. Regarding the soaps softer consistency, essential and or fragrance oils as well as menthol can cause this. Leaving the lid off for a day or two if you wish won't pose a problem. Enjoy!

Just got this one yesterday. First shave today. Love, love, love this scent! The aftershave is beautiful. Compliments from the lady before leaving for work her stamp of approval.
