Good question -it is something that we wrestled with. We did not want to make the tolerance too tight since there will undoubtedly be some soap scum buildup. I'll have to talk with the machinist to get the actual measurement.

Also worth keeping in mind that anodising will add material to the surface - hard anodising is usually more than 25 μm (0.001") thick, part of which is above the original surface - which should be taken into account. I'm sure your machinist knows all that better than I do though Smile

They go into production on Monday and we hope to have them in about three weeks. They should be in the $75 neighborhood.

Yes, the machinist took this into account.  The bowls should be ready to be sent to be anodized this coming Wednesday. Progress is being made.

It is classy looking but, the untreated finish would scratch too easily. We may offer a silver color down the line but, it would be with an anodized finish.

The bowls are scheduled to return from anodization this week. The lids then will go for laser engraving. We are getting very close.

one of my prized container was a very cool billet of English raceglaze wax.  yes it does weight over a pound empty and has worked beautifully for 2 plus years.  great minds thinking alike?[Image: XGoXfVA.jpg]
