This is a very well-written article about how a researcher made the discoveries that won him a Nobel Prize.  It explains in a very clear and understandable way how cell-mediated immunity works, and it outlines well how medical research in general happens.  It is rare that a public article is done this precisely.  Also, the researcher is an interesting character - even though he really needs a shave.

Fascinating and heartening. Having experienced the “cut, burn, poison” routine nine years ago it is encouraging to know that a less invasive and more effective treatment is in the offing. I got s real kick out of Dr Aiison’s other life; a Renaissance man indeed, but is he a candidate for wet shaving?
