Good evening, everyone. i wanted to inform all of you, that on Gary's recommendation to contact the manufacturers of the H.I.S synthetic shaving brush, i went ahead and did just that and got a prompt response from one of their representatives. He said that they are working on some smaller brushes and should be coming out with them, later this year. Here is the response via email:

Hi Celestino,
Thank you for your kind comments,
We are working on additional sizes and hope to introduce them before the end of the year.
Thank you for you support,

Well, if you gents were hoping for a smaller brush of the gigantic version of this great brush, then, there may be some hope, yet. Have a great evening, everyone.

Wow that's cool... I have to spend some more time with the current one but it sounds like a great company that listens to their target markets needs

* James, i am not so sure about that as i remember Gary daying that he had contacted them before about making a smaller brush and was not given favourable news, so we will see what materializes from them. i sure hope it is positive.

Excellent news. Thank you, Celestino.

I may yet hold off on a 28/54mm Frank Shaving synthetic and see what FM Brush has in store. They could even try releasing the same handle and knot just set 6mm lower to be more widely appealing.

Actually, sourcing quality badger hair is getting harder and harder. For the good stuff, I keep getting responses like this:

"I'm sorry Lee, but we cannot get the hair you have requested. How about this inferior grade instead?"
