Winter is nearly here in the Midwest (Iowa)
My skin, like many, dries out in the winter.
What ASB recommendations can the forum offer? I've got some Paladin, but it will run out eventually.
What else might I consider? Unscented, preferably, so it doesn't compete or collide with an aftershave or the soap itself.
Thanks

I'm a huge fan of Taylor of Old Bond Street's Mr. Taylor's Luxury Aftershave Balm. It's a little pricey but all you need is a tiny bubble on the tip of your finger and it covers your entire face. My face dries out in the winter as well. I used to use Olay Complete when I used a cart. I've also tried Proraso White and Nivea Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm. I prefer the TOBS by a mile. And the scent is very mild so it doesn't conflict with whatever I decide to splash on there. I always do the splash after the balm. Just my two cents.

I really like the GFT Skinfoods as I also use a moisturiser cream as the final step in my after shave ritual.
GFT Skinfood is very thin yet it works great and I think I'm hooked on this product for as long as they make it.
I opened my coral GFT skinfood in October and now after 15-20 shaves later using the GFT skin food everty time I still have more than 80-85% left in my 200 ml bottle.
So even though a bit pricy, a 200 ml bottle will last you for 100+ shaves/applications.

L’Occitan After Shave Balm is your best answer. It is also expensive but it is the only one I use in winter. It’s unscented. Think loads or nourishment for the skin. I only use it fall-spring but nothing else. It is great for healing irritation too.

I’m 99% sure Ron/Steeltown is talking about this Nivea cream for men:

I have used it, and it’s a very affordable good pretty light cream. But it’s not thin, but light. You only need a small amount like twice the size of an almond for your face.
I prefer creams from Lancôme, Helena Rubinstein and Osmium, but they are 6-10 times more expensive and honestly maybe not worth their asking price. The Nivea is definitely worth its price in my view.

Been using CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion for 3 years. It’s fantastic, and unscented, so it will promote your after shave or EDT very well. I found it researching lotions as well as how to make EDT’s last longer. Due to splitting time between Arizona and Illinois, it’s truly beneficial.
