Nice to see your post and a good introduction.
My girlfriend is interested in DE or SE shaving but we just can't decide which razor would suit her better, although I feel any one other than a cartridge.
Maybe you could recommend one?

Hey, nice to see you here! And, yeah, I should have known from the get-go that you were a PAC 12 dude.

As far as razor recommendations, I have to say that the new Blackland Vector is darn near perfect for shaving legs. It handles beautifully, has an intuitive angle, makes short work of two passes on both legs, and uses various AC blades for a level of adjustability (I use Kai Mild). On the DE side, the Karve is a great bargain and has the advantage of multiple plates/handle lengths. I have the 4C and don’t plan to get additional plates or handles.

The vintage razor world is a lot trickier because of the availability issues.

If she is interested in trying the Vector, Karve, or any of the 20 or so different razors I have on hand, just give a shout.

Patti, welcome to TSN.  You go through the cycles then when you get my age you discover that the razor you used 57 years ago still works just fine today.

Patti is a good egg.  She bought some soap from me a while back on one of the other forums.  Welcome to TSN Patti!

Oh, hey -- hi there! Thanks for your kind words. Yes, I remember -- your soap was mistakenly delivered to my neighbor's house. I still have that B&M Sinfonia and Jacinthe in my rotation.

Thanks for the welcome, Johnny. Yep, I have acquired a number of vintage razors that work perfectly and were once in someone else's collection. (Maybe yours?) I love that these treasures get passed along from enthusiast to enthusiast instead of trashed.

Patti,
Welcome to the Nook. I wouldn't worry about your budding razor acquisition disorder. I suspect all of us here have slid (jumped?) down one (and most likely more) of the available rabbit holes that delightfully make up the wet shaving hobby. And like you I shy away from the straight razor monster though I do have a coupe (one being my grandfather's).

Thanks for recommending the Blackland.  With the holidays fast approaching I'm pretty sure this will be under the tree.  Thanks
BTW. I worked the main library in city center Cleveland, Ohio. Probably my absolute favorite of all places I worked.
Cheers

Hi there! Seems there are lots of familiar folk here at TSN.
(Beginning to wonder if they didn’t wander over here to escape me.)
