Jorge, who made that handle?  Aluminum?  Socket  diameter?  I like it.

Hey Ricardo, it’s an titanium Carnavis & Richardson handle. I believe the diameter is just over 27mm.

I was in Sylva North Carolina today and picked up an Old Spice Mug, Old Spice Shave Soap, Colgate Mug Soap, a barber hone and a Gillette Blade Holder.

If anyone else is in Sylva, the shop is Dixie & Co on Main Street. They have quite a few other old shaving / barber items. Old boar brushes, single and double edge razors, straights, etc. A Rolls Razor and a DE blade sharpener.

The idea was to get my beloved wife a large, dedicated brush that would be a) large and long enough to lather her legs, and b) her own. As it often happens, it snowballed a bit... but not much.

After asking the Ladies and Gents here on the 'Nook, she fell for a rainbow coloured Yaqi brush.. and since getting stuff from China is cheap, I tossed in a few other things as well.

[Image: 2018-12-20%2B10.47.21.jpg][Image: 2018-12-20%2B10.47.32.jpg][Image: 2018-12-20%2B10.47.41.jpg]

For starter, I picked up a long handled open comb safety razor for her to try - if she don't like it I can easily sell it on or PIF it to someone who needs / wants it.

[Image: 2018-12-20%2B10.49.02.jpg][Image: 2018-12-20%2B10.49.14.jpg][Image: 2018-12-20%2B10.49.21.jpg]

Secondly, I picked up a colourful short handled open comb safety razor for me - I like open comb razors, and something with bright colours can come in handy if a couple of things comes to pass.

Lastly, I added a cheap beard/moustache brush - because I needed something to quality for free shipping, and a beard comb don't always cut it.

The Yaqi 1821 (Rainbow or Gay Pride) and 1712 (Mellon or Double Open Comb) are great products.
You should try.  Wink

Yeah the Waits book is great. Now it is like an enabler wish list - lol. I have been enjoying it during dad breaks today. The Raw razor is the real deal. I only had one shave Christmas, but it is very smooth from my limited experience with it. The lube strips really add a slickness and are not a gimmick. The box is crazy nice. The complete package is outstanding and I feel like a lucky guy.

Two new Charcoal Goods razor handles arrived today, an antique brass torpedo and a hammered satin stainless.  Unfortunately, the seller packed them loose in the box - a very bad idea - and this is how they came, having bounced around against each other for the 7 days it took the USPS to deliver the "Priority" box.

I'm hoping to be able to polish out the little dings they acquired, and then I'll use them with my Weber, Feather, Paradigm, Wolfman, and RazoRock heads.

It's really disappointing when a seller puts so little care into the packing.
