Hello Gent’s I decided to give my nephew a starting wet shaving kit for Christmas since he get all pumped every time we talk about traditional wet shaving.
He’s 18 years old and he don’t know any better than Mach 3 disposable cartridges.
I personally owned a Merkur progress and I love it since it’s very forgiving and smooth, this might be a good starting razor for a young man but I would love to hear your suggestions.
Any kit recommendations that doesn’t exceed $100.00
Thank you !

There are many affordable razors suitable for beginners out there, but in general terms I would put the most though into the brush and soap; even if he finds that a DE or SE isn't for him, he's likely to find that nothing compares to proper lather.

Merkur 34C or Gillette Super Speed, an inexpensive synthetic brush (several options available), and a TOBS cream.

You've got some nice brushes and soaps, so all you need to do, is buy him a razor.
Let him pick a brush and soap out of your collection...... Winky
That's what a GOOD Uncle would do.... Angel

I think a Gillette 1965 SuperSpeed, a razor blade sample pack, Omega Badger Brush, Cella Shave Soap, and Chella Cool Aftershave!

That would be a dynamite Christmas present kit!

Good luck!

Defiantly spend most of that on a brush, A Merkur 1904 SB would be a great starter razor or find a nice PW Tech they are easy to find.
