Strop does not have any nicks or cuts. It does have a few small scratches on the cordovan side that can be seen in the pics. I can feel the scratches with my finger but can't feel them when stropping.

Alastair makes a beautiful strop but has to my knowledge stopped making them so if you are looking to get one then this is the strop to get, several years back he sent me one of each of the strops he made to try and the Cordovan of course was the best for me as it has a velvety draw so I commissioned him to make me one and that same year he stopped making them for remodel a Victorian style home and was supposed to only stop for 12-18 months but that time have come and gone and that’s sad.

So gents if you are looking for a quality strop get this one..
