Sweet. I didn't know that they were done in any other material than brass. Might have to get one of these now.

In the Reddit AMA, Chris mentioned he was looking at introducing a Titanium version.

These OC heads are beautyful. Looking forward to tester reviews. These may become a 2019 accquisition.

No longer in the testing stage. The KARVE OC plates are now available, as of Feb 22, 2019 @ 4pm PST. I bought OC plates C and D. Here's a photo... .

Yes.  The open comb is available.  Definitely a beauty.  But 7 different levels of aggressiveness?  This razor can quickly become very expensive.  I guess my question is if I am a person who's favorite open comb razor is a Gillette New Deluxe, which plate would produce a shave that is most similar to that razor?

The NEWs seen to range between 0.53mm - 0.58mm blade gaps based on charts found online, but no idea the level of exposure. Based on others reviews, preferred plates seem to be C-F for the solid bar Karve.

so far the talk has been: the OC grades one step up to the bar so C-F would equal B-E in OC.
i have been looking at the karve bar vs rockwell 6S/C vs marvel vs the gamechanger .84.
so far i am sticking to my vintage gillettes but a great modern razor would make a nice addition.

I would go with the Karve purely out of aesthetic, the bonus being a great shave!

Depends.  I like using my more aggressive modern razors(charcoal goods lvl 3oc, ATT H1 and H2, wolfmans, Muhle) more than my fatboy or slim adjustable.  The NEW is a shade less aggressive than the razors I mentioned in the parenthesis.  If I wanted a karve, I would start with the most aggressive (OC F) and work downwards.
