Why do you say that?  Their site is up and they are selling products.

I did a little more digging and have found numerous posts on the different shaving forums asking the same question about iKon Razors.  But here's the thing.  These questions have been asked since as far back as 2012 and maybe even before then.  I'm guessing as a small business they have ups and downs in inventory.  So, right now for instance I suspect inventory is down due to higher than normal sales for the Christmas holiday.

Very touching all this concern, thank's Gents.

Always rewarding to be acknowledged by such important "members
of the "wet shaving community"
------------------------------------

For 2019 iKon will start being solely distributed by regional vendors in

United Kingdom

European Union

and

North America

our website will soon reflect this

this will allow "iKon" to focus more on actual production and
distribution of product.

In fairness I was genuinely concerned. I love your tech razor to death

B1 Standard will be available in a few weeks time, the ShaveCraft Tech is not in production & will not be available for the foreseeable.

Best regards, Paul

I have one and I had a Tech. If they don't bring back the Tech, the Standard Head is certainly a worthy alternative in B1 coated stainless. Very aggressive. For those who aren't familiar it is called the B1 Standard, not to be confused with 101, etc.

I’ve not tried the B1 Standard, but I have been using the B1 OSS for about two months now. I like it a whole lot better than the shavecraft 101. The Shavecraft slant is close , smooth and efficient but for some reason I just rarely reach for it. Maybe I’ll sell it... The B1 OSS is one of, if not the best, razors I’ve tried so far. Close, efficient and smooth. A definite keeper! Based on my experience with the OSS, if ikon re-releases the B1 standard I would definitely try it.

The Standard head is much more aggressive than the OSS. I'm not trying to discourage you from getting one. I like mine and use it regularly, but if you don't like aggressive razors I would recommend something else. The Standard Head, whether it is B1 or the older uncoated version, has a ton of blade feel and it can bite and burn if your technique is not sound. I like aggressive razors, but after five or six consecutive days with the B1 Standard I'm looking for a break.

I've heard that, but when I got a bad head they treated me fine and gave me a prompt refund. I would have taken a replacement head, but they didn't have one. Later I got a head used that was perfect. I'm not suggesting that my experience invalidates their reputation, but I think it is fair to speak up if it was something better.

I'm actually considering the Deluxe B1 Open Comb.  Anyone know how it compares to Gillette's New Deluxe head?

In my experience, having owned and used both, I prefer the NEW Deluxe.

There were two problems with my iKon version.  First, it had a wavy blade.  I don't think this problem was common with the iKon Deluxe open comb, as a lot of people really, really loved this razor.  But mine had just enough wave in it that it tended to produce irritation.  (To be fair, though, I once had a Gillette NEW Deluxe that was plagued with the same problem.)

The other thing that was a negative (for me, anyway) was that the combs were slightly too sharp for my taste.  The combs on the original Gillette were more muted.  The difference, however, was pretty subtle.

Both the iKon Deluxe and the Gillette NEW Deluxe are fine shavers, intermediate in aggression, and smooth.  Bear in mind that there is a 15 mm NEW Deluxe and a 17 mm NEW Deluxe; some people swear by one or the other.  The iKon most closely resembles the 17 mm version of the original Gillette.

Hope this is helpful.
