I've been toying around with purchasing this brush in my mind ever since it was announced. Well, I finally bit the bullet and pulled the trigger on one from The Enabler!

I'm still a bit hesitant about trying a razor with a radically different head geometry than what I am used to and my dislike for some other high end razors lately. But the SB has had such great reviews, I have a new blade I really love (Super Iridiums) and I've been dialing up my Fatboy more and more recently, so I think I am ready to take on this new challenge!

As I said in my Tradere posts, it's simply the best razor I've ever used. The shave is effortless and feels like it isn't doing much, but was really surprised at the results.

I am shocked at how close this razor gets. I was used to getting stubble back after 4-5 hrs after shaving. Now, after only a week with Tradere, I am going to bed with almost as smooth a face as when I finished shaving. I am having to be more patient as I learn how to use this razor. Also, I was surprised by the weight. It is a wonderful razor and makes me question if I'll ever pick up another in my collection to use again. You'll love it!

It arrived today! First off, what a beautiful razor! Absolutely flawless and feels great in hand. I'm excited to shave with it in the morning. Unfortunately I burned my index and middle finger on my right hand while cooking tonight, so that might make things a little uncomfortable.

And now, some pics!

And the picture I have been very excited to take, with a 1916 Bell Tube Aristocrat, almost 100 years of style!

First shave this morning, and I must say, the SB did better than I imagined. I kept looking at the blade gap and thinking "this isn't going to go over well..." but the natural angle of the razor is surprisingly easy to find and very efficient. The shave wasn't harsh at all and in 3 passes + a little touch-up I had a very smooth shave. It was a little awkward to hold from some tender burn spots on my fingers from cooking last night, but I can see it getting better.

It will take some more shaves to really get the feel for the razor, and I know I get excited easily about new toys, but so far, I'm quite pleased.

Glad you're enjoying this wonderful razor! Its one of the few I've ever tried that I didn't have to "learn" to like.

Keep us updated on how it goes! It's a beautiful razor and I'd love to pick one up, but I'm trying my hardest to hold out on their slant.
