Being relatively new to this game I am dependent upon shaving forums to point me in the right direction. I find under the nose challenging and read that one solution is a Tech paired with a Feather blade. So be it… tomorrow I attack with this British Tech and Feather blade.

another approach is to "cheat" and use a Gillette disposable with the trimmer on the back.  I did that for at least a year.  Works great.

But now I seem to be able to master it with either my S/E, which I use 90% of the time, or my D/E.  Just pull your nose up a bit, and don't use any pressure with the razor.

and, at least initially, post shave treatment.  I use Saponificio Varesino "Pro Victis."  Just a tiny dab under the nose (and occasionally on my neck).  It's called "The Peacemaker" for good reason.

I've found that regardless of the razor I'm using, the only way I can be sure to get those hairs right near the nasal opening is to push my nose up and towards the opposite side of my face which frees up the area for even the larger headed razors.  This approach never fails for me.

I've found that having a moustache and goatee helps immensely with the trouble of shaving the upper lip...

...failing that, good prep, a narrow head razor and great care should give good results. I recall a discussion where it was claimed that the only real fix was to use a mild injector, but somehow I don't think there is a single magic solution that works for everyone.

Apart from the moustache and beard off course Wink

Geo Fat Boy has an interesting technique on his shaving videos.  He angles the edge of the razor to get right under the nose and then flattens out the razor head to do the rest of the under the nose area.  This actually works pretty well if you have a good lather.

Using the combination pictured, and some of the suggested techniques, yielded success. Thanks.

I usually do a 1st pass WTG in a downward direction as close to the bottom of the nose as possible and then go upwards ATG just for the bit right under my nose and slightly in each nostril.
