I am looking for a nice, relatively thick, balm. I am using Nivea. It is inexpensive and not bad but I would like to step it up while keeping the same consistency in regard to thickness. Suggestions?

I've have had good results with:
  • Proraso Pro Wood and Spice
  • Proraso Liquid Cream After Shave (old style)
  • Nivea Sensitive Cooling After Shave Balm
  • BullDog Sensitive Aftershave Balm
  • BullDog Original Aftershave Balm
  • BodyShop Maca Root Energetic Face Protection
Everything else I have is more of a liquid and less of a balm.

The best balms I know of that are thick and are excellent to use are Sampsons and Zartgefuhl.  Each are roughly $25 per jar but are second to none in my opinion.

ABC Apricot Hull is the thickest balm I have used to date.  Great stuff, but it costs $85.

Agreed none better than abc and within that line, apricot. Outrageously priced but best by far having spent a small fortune trying them all
