One of my favorite handles is the old Klenzo B895.

However, the originals don’t lend themselves to knots much over about 22 mm.

I’m looking for a brushmaker to reproduce the B895, but 15 to 20% larger so a 26 mm knot looks proportionate.

I’m looking for recommendations for a skilled brushmaker to accept such a commission.

Recommendations please.

Thanks

Hi Max!  Take a run over to Etsy and look up Mozingo Brushworks.  Brett Mozingo on Facebook.  He is super reasonable and has Synthetic and Badger knots.  I have 6 brushes from him and he is my go to handle maker, because he pours his own blanks and is half the price of most others.

Happy New Year!

Matt

Ed Brice is a U.K. based artisan who produces some very nice brushes and also does custom commissions.

He slips under most people’s radar
and I’m not sure why as his work is very good.
