Sounds quote close. Biggrin
Ok, I thought I was the only one, considering all the "medium-aggressive" review comments I have seen.

You mean the handle ...
I'll give it a try, but loudness is not good for me.
IMHO, the more It's loud ... the less It's smooth.

I got my Rocca Jet R96 yesterday First impressions are very good. Well packaged, excellent finish to the razor, although the DLC is more of a matte unlike the Blackbird Jet which is very shiny. Excellent weight and balance to this razor with very good grip even when wet and soapy. First shave was post shower, Declaration Grooming Lavender soap and I used the Muhle blade that came with it, but after a few passes switched to a Polsilver as the Muhle had a lot of tugging. After playing with the angle a little I settled in at about 40 degrees off my face and got a very nice 2 pass WTG, XTG BBS and still have, 8 hours later it as I am getting ready to leave for work. This razor has good blade feel, not harsh, but you definitely feel it.  It was easy to maneuver and feels a little lighter than some of my other SS razors even thought the handle is a little longer (maybe the handle is hollow) but I liked the feel of the weight in my hands.  Gonna play with it for awhile to get it dialed in, maybe do a side by side, against my polished Dart and my Blackbird Jet as the blade feel reminds me of these razors and the Dart is about the same price range.

Just used Blackland Dart.
Has a good blade feeling, but It's smooth.
I can easily have my 3-pass shave.

Not with Muhle R96J Rocca Jet.
With this, when I go against the grain (ATG / XTGR), It is NOT smooth at all.

And sometime It bites.
It's unpredictable.
It's uneasy.
