On an earlier thread, I showed what Oscar11 (Steve) had sent me.

http://shavenook.com/thread-the-generosity-of-steve

Here is the first brush from that set.

Here is the second brush from that set.

Now here is the third brush. The maple 30 mm handle with time to spare.

How do you like the 30 mm finest knot?Isnt a little bit bigger or just the "right" size?

It is different. It really generates lather, but it is a product eater. This is the first of their finest series that I have had. It is still breaking in so I will have to reevaluate it over the next few weeks to figure out how much backbone versus softness it really does have.

Thanks! When I realized that I would need more weight for the handle, this elegant solution came to me to balance it on the outside. When I came across some watch faces I realized that one of them would fit the bill.

Very cool handle. The styling and "metal" on the bottom remind me of the Simpsons Queen Elizabeth LE brush that is yet to be released.

Where does one obtain a metal face to a pocket watch? Did you actually dismantle a watch, or find the face somewhere else? I would never think of such a simple, but beautiful, decoration for a handle.

There are actually hobby suppliers that have stock of watch faces along with "fake coins," bottle caps, etc. New stuff that is faded or made for other items such as clothing, jewelry, etc.

After a five minute soaking this knot becomes soft and gentle and provides a luxurious lather!
