After reading the high praise by many respected gentlemen here, I've been eager to try this soap. I finally ordered some Fougere from WCS, and it arrived today.
I won't try to top the fine reviews already posted, only that after this evenings shave I completely concur. I used my Thater Funf, an Ikon Deluxe Open Comb with a Polsilver with about a weeks shaves on it, and finished it off with some of Phils Asylum Royal Fougere which also arrived today.
I have immediately reordered this soap, and will probably continue to use it for the next week or so, it will be difficult to tire of this level of luxury.

Hi Matt, I'm not very good at describing scents, I will say that it's unique among the other fougeres that I have. It's much lighter than MDC and has a very refreshing face feel. The Asylum aftershave for instance really pairs better with its own soap or the MDC, it works but it's different. I like them all, but was really pleasantly surprised when I opened the tin. My apologies, I hope someone can add a more comprehensive description.

+1, Manuel has some of the best scents I have ever tried. His Sandolo and Tobacco are simply superb.

How would you describe his Tobacco scent? Is similar to walking into a cigar humidor at the tobacco shop?

Apologies for the late reply.
Manuel's Tobacco scent is more of a mildly sweet, spicy and floral tobacco scent and not much like cigars, at all, in my opinion. Unfortunately, he no longer offers this scent, I believe which is very disappointing as it is/was a superb scent.
