After reading the high praise by many respected gentlemen here, I've been eager to try this soap. I finally ordered some Fougere from WCS, and it arrived today.
I won't try to top the fine reviews already posted, only that after this evenings shave I completely concur. I used my Thater Funf, an Ikon Deluxe Open Comb with a Polsilver with about a weeks shaves on it, and finished it off with some of Phils Asylum Royal Fougere which also arrived today.
I have immediately reordered this soap, and will probably continue to use it for the next week or so, it will be difficult to tire of this level of luxury.

Hello!

How is the fragrance of the soap...I was thinking about getting it but was on the fence. Can you compare it to the MDC Fougere or another similar soap/scent?

Thanks!

Hi Matt, I'm not very good at describing scents, I will say that it's unique among the other fougeres that I have. It's much lighter than MDC and has a very refreshing face feel. The Asylum aftershave for instance really pairs better with its own soap or the MDC, it works but it's different. I like them all, but was really pleasantly surprised when I opened the tin. My apologies, I hope someone can add a more comprehensive description.

No worries! I bet it’s good...I really am enamored with the fragrances of Rosa-oud and Dama De Noche.

Manuel is a genius as far as I am concerned!

I have an affinity for JabonMan soaps and agree that Manuel is highly skilled at creating scents.  His fougere is not a cologne type scent, and is an unusual but excellent interpretation of a fougere.

+1, Manuel has some of the best scents I have ever tried. His Sandolo and Tobacco are simply superb.

How would you describe his Tobacco scent?  Is similar to walking into a cigar humidor at the tobacco shop?

Apologies for the late reply.
Manuel's Tobacco scent is more of a mildly sweet, spicy and floral tobacco scent and not much like cigars, at all, in my opinion. Unfortunately, he no longer offers this scent, I believe which is very disappointing as it is/was a superb scent.

Fougere and Tobacco are the only Eufros scents I have and I think they are amazing. I tried a sample of the matching balm and it's one of the best balms I have ever used. A very unique fougere scent....very bright and green.

At the risk of incurring arrows, while I find the Eufros soap base to be amazing, with the exception of Rosa Bourbon and the TSN LE, which is basically a vetiver, they all have a VERY similar scent.
I own the Zanzibar, Tobacco, Fougère, Rosa Bourbon and the TSN LE.

I feel the same about MW (all sweet), and I've smelled about a dozen and a half. Sorry!
(I haven't smelled any Eufros so can't comment.)
