I'm out in Gettysburg, PA visiting some friends and checking out some historical places. While here, my friend took me out around the town and we stopped in several antique shops.

I bought 11 razors in this one shop that was going out of business. The razor list includes some of the following: gillette tech, GEM junior, gillette super speed, gillette super speed black tip, gillette NEW deluxe, a few gillette NEWs, a few gillette OLDs, a gillette slim adjustable and a gillette fat boy adjustable.

just about every razor except for the GEM and maybe 1 of the NEW and 1 of the OLD types will be for sale once I get home and get them cleaned up.

now for some photos....

Nice finds! I went on an antique raid today myself. I saw lots of interesting razors (ever ready 1912, gem 1912, gem MMOC, a couple of gillette adjustables), but ended up only saving a Schick Injector. One day I hope to go back with a slightly fatter wallet and collecting the prizes. Biggrin My wife really doesn't understand my obsession with antique stores, but at least she plays along once in a while

Nice score...

Been out to Pennsylvania a few times over the past few years to visit some motorcycle friends....

Rode through Gettysburg a couple of times around mid Summer

Sometimes Pa seems like the land where time stands still, lot of ties to the old days.

Seens like they hang on to things forever there,I've seen a lot of vintage razors being sold by Pa sellers.

thanks gents.

I bought every single razor the antique shop had except for 2...1 was a razor that took proprietary blades (can't remember the name of it now) and a valet autostrop that had a box, but was missing its strop for $45, plus 20% off.

Great haul, Andrew! In my opinion, the NEWS are the best of them all so if you haven't tried one, give it a try!

I plan on taking some photos after I hit them with scrubbing bubbles and warm water and soap with a tooth brush, but as for polishing them....I'll leave that up to whoever buys them when I put them all up for except for maybe 3 or 4 of them.

Impressive. I've found a few razors at antique stores but never anything like that kind of haul.
