Hmmmm...for modern soaps I would have to say Stirling Soaps is probably the slickest soap I have used. It also has great residual slickness!

Santa Maria Novella is also near the apex of the pyramid!

I've tried about every soap under the sun and Mystic Water is definitely the slickest.  It's about as slick as it is temperamental  Wink.

CRSW Glide is slick.  If you look at the posts about Glide when it first came out, many guys commented on its slickness.

I would highly recommend CRSW Glide for slickness. This soap is easy to dial in for a super slick protective shave.

While on the subject of Glide, the Glide X Anniversary soap released in collaboration with BullGoose has a superb scent.

That's the slickest I've tried. I have to wipe my hands before handling my DE razor as it has slipped out of my hands on a few occasions.

Tough question, because every answer you get is subjective. If you hydrate your lather sufficiently, just about EVERY quality soap on the market will provide you with the slickness necessary to facilitate a great shave. Water is your soap's best friend. Focus on that.

Slickness is from hydration. That being said, some soaps seem to hold more water than others. As others have mentioned, CRSW Glide is outstanding in that regard, as long as you keep adding water to the lather until you think it can't possibly hold any more. My current favorite is Grooming Dept for both slickness and after shave moisturizing, as well as Wholly Kaw. However, most tier 3 soaps will provide excellent slickness if they are well hydrated.

Just tried the new Barrister And Mann base.  It is so slick that I need to use a wash cloth to stretch my skin for straight razor shaves, even after it has been washed off.  It is the best soap I have ever used and I have them all in my den. Pickup a tub of Seville in the new soap base and you will be floored.  This new soap base is that good. It is the real deal.   Its like liquid ball bearings.  And its cushiony and A+ post shave.

+1 for Mystic Waters.  Grooming Dept is a better soap, but MW is the slickest by far.  I almost never drop my equipment, but I always do when I use MW, it's slicker than wet snot.

Stirling and Palmolive cream are the most slippery I've tried and don't like that characteristic.
I rather develop lather to the point I like it best.

I can't say for sure what the slickest is that I use but Coates is definitely on the short list. Surprisingly so since it's a cream.

La Savonnerie Bourbonnaise Cedar & Lemongrass with Donkey's Milk.
Nothing else comes close.
(Useless for lather sculpture, however.   It is a slick soap, not a mounds-of-foam soap.
