It’s a shame that Mongoose are no longer producing razors. They still rate as being the best AC SE razor for me and I’m surprised at how quickly the demand fell off for them as other razors came along.

My last two shaves have been with my Mongoose loaded with a Feather Pro Super. Darn good, extremely close BBS+ shaves.

I've tried to love Mongoose but unfortunately it wasn't meant for me. The SS was way too heavy and too aggressive to my liking. The alumigoose was way too mild. The SS one was build like a tank though.

This seems to be the fate of the modern SS razor.  When a new razor comes out, it becomes the rage, the best ever.  Until the next new razor come out, and it becomes the rage, the best ever.

I would have bought one but the inconsistent reviews at both extremities had me perplexed.
