Gents,

I received 20 IMC blades in a lot of vintage blades I purchased as a freebie from the seller.  I do not know anything about them, but I unwrapped one, and it appears to be extremely clean and in good condition for its age!

Can anyone tell me anything about them?  When they were made?  How they shave?

I might try one next week!

Thanks!

I would also add that in addition to these being nicely kept, the blade itself seems to be more stout/thicker than any other DE blade I have used.

I don't have a clue about these blades but I do know that the vintage gillette blue blades were very thick and harsh to shave with.

While I'm not familiar with these blades in particulars, I looked into the thickness of vintage blades some years back and the lowdown is that the original patent called for a blade 50% thicker and about twice as stiff.

It's worth recalling that a modern razor is made for a modern blade, while a vintage razor was made for a vintage blade. If you decide to give these blades a whirl, using a vintage (ie: pre 1935 or so) razor will probably give the most authentic experience Smile

Thanks! That’s a good point!

Nice looking blades but but I’m not familiar with them.
