Hi All, its my first post on the Nook forums.
I currently use an EJ89 and Karve C&D plate.
The Karve is just a little too aggressive for my skin as a daily shaver but the EJ just is not efficient enough for that purpose either.

Im considering grabbing a Gamechanger .68
Can anyone offer some EJ vs GC comparisons?
Im hoping its just as smooth but more efficient and aggressive as the EJ.

Here in Australia its gonna cost me about $110aud which is about $77us.
And at this stage im not planning on grabbing the B plate.
Tia

Tia, welcome to TSN. When you have a chance post your hello in in the Introductions section for a proper hello.

I have used the Mühle version of the 89 head but didn’t enjoy the way it shaved. At the other end of the spectrum, the GC .68 is a joy to use. For me it’s smooth and efficient - two passes yields consistently DFS (to near BBS) results. Despite that it’s practically impossible to nick yourself. Imo, the GC is an excellent product, well worth the cost. Comparison wise, the 89 for me was very particular about the “right” angle at which to hold the head in relation to my face. Other folks don’t seem to have the same issue. The GC however has a wider range of use, making it much easier to obtain a close and smooth shave. It’s very intuitive for me. Unrelated to your question, when the more aggressive GC plate becomes available I hope to grab one before they’re gone again.

Hope this helps.

I also used the Muhle89 and found it too light for my taste. I also bought the GC 84 recently and find it a very nice shaver. Super efficient 2 pass and call it good kind of shaver.

An Australian based online shop. Great Service!!
Got the super knurl handle. 100% impressed by this razor, exactly what i wanted. Workmanship of the razor is not quite as perfect as my Karve but still very very good

Glad you swapped out the 89 to the GC. My preference for a much better shave as well.
