Gents,

I love the soap, I love the performance...I especially love the fragrance!

I HATE the little terra-cotta bowl/dish!  Some might say it’s sacrilege...the little ugly brown bowl doesn’t do it for me!

However, I love the Ralph Lauren Safari Shave mug, and I was lucky enough to acquire a second one!

Since I do not want another Safari Shave soap puck in my rotation...they are safely stored in vacuum packed wrapping in a cool dry place....I figured I should make use of the second one with another discontinued soap that I love!

Matt

I like your pairing of the Hemingway aftershave and balm with the I Coloniali soap...makes sense to me.

Hi Matt!

I was going to use the vintage Gillette Sun Up aftershave, but the HA and i coloniali mango are a great match...just sort of came to me on the fly!

Oooo... I have not smelled the original Sun Up, only remakes by PAA and B&M.
I bet that smells very nice!

Very nice. May I suggest Alt Innsbruck as a wonderful pairing with I Coloniali.

I love the bowl, fits in my palm perfectly for lathering off the puck, and the refills are made for it. But that’s me, you do what’s suits you. Nice mug!

I gravitated towards the matching 3n1 balm though I’ve been meaning to get me some of that rhubarb as well. I’ve always used the balm with the soap and It has lasted me through 2 pucks. A little goes a long way though the end is quite near.

Matt, is the mouth of that Safari mug extra wide?  I always have a lot of trouble loading soap onto my brushes when the puck is in a mug like the Old Spice one.

John, this is what Williams is for. Put a puck or two of Williams under your I Coloniali puck if you’re using a tall mug. And you’ll know when you use your IC up! /H

Hi John!  They are both 3.25 inches across, but the difference is in the height...see pics below.

The extra height on the Safari mug makes it easier for me to whip up a nice lather and load up the brush!  Plus the Safari puck fits it perfectly!

Matt, yes it’s very good - I think the soap is a tad better, but both are well worth having. The cream has the same scent, but Atkinson’s for Gentlemen is the same cream with a lavender scent, was available cheaper at IB last time that I checked.

Don’t forget the bath soap...

No, can’t say that I have - both perform beautifully and have the same scent, so probably not any reason to. But hey, maybe tomorrow!

I like it myself, too. I do grate the refill puck and press it into the terra cotta bowl. Well, I will one more time... Sad
