I had trouble posting these images earlier. I hope they work this time.
Yesterday my wife and I drove over to Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic National Park. As you can tell from the sky color, we could not have chosen a better day for the trip.

This is looking north across the Strait of Juan de Fuca toward Vancouver Island and the town of Victoria.

Across this valley you can see the damage from a 2003 fire started by lightning.

The trails are well maintained and easy. The visitor center is visible in the background.

To the east there was quite a bit of haze from wildfires in the eastern part of the state.

And a nice finish was the relaxing ferry boat ride back to Seattle.

Thanks, Lee. I think the name comes from the first lodge at the summit having lost its roof in a big wind, which probably reminded someone from a true hurricane region of those storms.
