Hello-

I'd like to acquire a Star DE razor.  It need not be mint or even near mint, just decent usable condition.
Preferably not gold.

Thanks

Wow.  I don't think I'd seen this with a non-gold finish before.

Very nice example.

So ASR must have seen some demand for this razor, since they released it under the Personna brand as well.
Something else I didn't know.

There's been some interest in these lately - good luck to the OP in picking one up.

Very nice guys.

Hi Max! I have a few gold ones if you can’t find a silver one. They are SWEET shavers, and I feel like they are perhaps one of the best kept secrets in wet shaving!

If you decide to go gold let me know and I am sure we can work something out!

Vr

Matt

Yes, this was interesting to learn. I’m wondering if they were distributed in limited numbers, or perhaps sold only regionally? Maybe someone in-the-know can offer some information...

Remember ASR only acquired the Personna brand in 1953, several years after release of the US Star 100, and only manufactured the Personna branded razor in the UK AFAIK.

Thanks for that. The knowledge of TSN members is remarkable.
