Gents,

Hello!  It is time to part with some straight razors that just do not get used.  Each of these razors has a deadly sharp shave ready edge...no need to even strop them!  The prices are for every budget, and include shipping via USPS Priority mail to CONUS and all US territories.

First up is a SWEET and restored Wade & Butcher Straight Razor from circa 1880s.  It is 13/16 in size, near wedge, has beautiful black horn scales, and new brass pins and washers. The bevel was set on Chosera 1k Stone, the honing progression then was done on a Shapton 3k, 5k, 8k, 12k, and then a 30k.  Afterwards it was stropped on linen to finish the hair splitting edge.  This razor is in an exclusive class of shaving instruments, and it is just magnificent!

The price is $135 shipped!!!

The next tool for sale is the venerable Corvette Extra 1965 Austrian Phoenix EVH Steel Japanese Straight Razor.  This razor is hollow ground, and is 6/8+.  It has been forged out of a fine grain and extremely high hardness Austrian steel...a beautiful opportunity to own a Japanese razor made out of an incredible steel!

The price is $90 shipped!!!

Gents,

The MK 32 is SOLD!

The legendary Sheffield Wade & Butcher from a bygone era is still available, as are the Corvette made of Austrian Phoenix Steel and the Le Grelot.

As a side note, the Grelot razor would be absolutely perfect for some who has been wanting to try a straight razor but hasn’t for whatever reason! The edge is pristine, and the rounded tip is perfect for a beginner!

Thanks!

Some fine razors! And I'd definitely echo that sentiment that the Grelot is excellent for someone starting out shaving with straights, both for the rounded tip and because they're such good shavers that it'd be sure to get them hooked. With that smile though it probably wouldn't be a good first razor to learn to hone though.

It's the MK 32 that really caught my eye though. Out of curiosity (and for posterity), what did you sell it for?

Sir,

I do not mind you asking the selling price, and I hope that you do not mind me declining to discuss the details of a private accord.

Thanks for the compliment on the razors, they shave with the best of them!

Gents,

Someone asked me about the grind on the Corvette Straight Razor.

It is truly a singing razor with a wicked hollow grind.

These are the best pics of the grind on the Corvette Razor that I could get with my phone.
