I'm considering buying this as I don't have one quite so old and it seems like an interesting thing to try and put an edge on. But I've also seen stubtails that still have a heel on the razor, perhaps this one is just too far gone? Though, it also does line up pretty well with the tang and the curve at the toe, while exaggerated, does actually follow the spine. So maybe it's only mediumly worn and is meant to be roughly this shape?

Anyone try honing something like this? How'd it go?

That's a nice razor, once honed it will deliver a great shave.

I recognize that razor. I have one almost exactly like it, but marked 'Wolf - Acier Fondu'
(Acier Fondu means Cast Steel)

Honestly it doesn't look that far from it's original geometry. Maybe a little deep of a smile around the head?
My approach has been 'if its not broke, dont fix it' with geometry - the early stuff sometimes intentionally had strange geometry as part of what made it special at the time.
