I’m very excited about this. Tradere was too good to go away.

Shane has stated for now the razor will have the same handle at a length 95mm and roughly the same head spec of the 1st and 2nd gen. Also the razor will not be a LE so we all can purchase one. I am looking forward to purchasing both the SB and OC.

Or if waiting is an issue, you can leap in and purchase both from ebay user "cmhamm" for only $2,099.

(I would have put a link but I don't know if it's against the rules)

It is indeed against the rules.

He did a nice facebook video talking about it.
He will make 250 OC Gen1 (aggressive) and 250 SB Gen 2 (milder)
Full razors only.

"A fool and his money are soon parted" comes to mind.  However if someone wants to pay that, then my view is invalid!

They don’t exist yet so no pics, but it looks an awful lot like the Tradere of old because it’s the same thing. Smile

In Shane’s live cast on Facebook he said he would keep making them if people kept buying them. For the initial release he plans on having 500 razors available

No, the timing of this announcement made for a decidedly poor eBay sale. But I'm happy for Blackland, and the shaving community is better off for the resurrection of one of the best razors I've ever used.

I was deep in vintage razor land when Tradere came and went, so never even saw it.
Few months ago, I saw pictures and was very impressed with the looks of the head.
Striking and unique.

Ive always had a problem with heavier razors because they increase blade pressure
on my face... thats why I never got along with any Timeless SS. My ideal weight is
70-100gm.

And this one, Im told, is a little above 120gm.

Anyway, it seems these will not be a one-off release...as long as there is demand.
With any luck, he might even make it in different materials after the launch goes well.
I think this razor would look stunning in titanium.

Mine weighed 121.5 grams with a blade loaded.
Going from a 3XX series stainless to 6AL-4V Ti would drop that to 70 grams so you really would be in luck.

Interesting news. For some reason I've been thinking about getting a new razor, and I always did like the razor handle on the Tradere. Of course plenty of other razors have my eye too.
