Gents,

We have lots of lists, and we often make sub lists of lists broken down by category! I was actually fooling around with my top six list in another thread yesterday.

I just want to know what single soap...current or vintage...what single soap is your Greatest Of All Time?

While there are a few that come close to the top spot which I enjoy immensely, my GOAT Soap is Ralph Lauren Safari!

I love the fragrance!

I love the rich and creamy tallow based lather that it produces!

I love the performance in every category!

I love the postshave feel!

I love that it is a very hard soap which will last for a good long while!

LOL! I was thinking Goat tallow, Goat milk, etc

However, Greatest Of All Time?

Too many excellent performers to choose just one!

Now that is a cute little bugger right there! Almost makes me want to get one for the kids, however, I am sure owning a goat is a lot of work!

OK, OK.

I choose these (goats are in herds, right?)

Runner up:  AoS Sandalwood (old tallow formula)

Mystic water- anything ( I’ve tried 3 though and think the rest are probably just as good. )
-Scent stays awhile

-Outstanding creamy lather that is the strangest lathering soap I’ve used

- post shave is crazy good

Of course there are lots of great soaps, especially with the boom now, but ever since Barrister & Mann came out with the Reserve line, I have found my absolute favorite soap. I prefer the Lavender.

I wasn't expecting someone to mention this soap, but I will have to concur with your statement, with the exception of your second point.  Shy
It has been my GOAT soap for the past nine years and not because it is significantly better than many others, but when factoring in all of the attributes it possess, then it is, for me.

Boom, baby.

Truly a fantastic soap that can still be had at reasonable prices! No complaints about AOS Sandalwood with the tallow base!!!!

A post in the WTB section would likely yield positive results. I know some gents have huge stockpiles of AOS tallow!

You can usually snag one off of eBay as well!

Mike’s. Any flavor, but I like Cedar Rose Patchouli most.
