G'day Nookies,

Has anybody tried the new product on the market called the Cella Organic Shaving Soap in a bowl? because I'm allergic to Cella Red.

Interesting. I wonder what the shelf life is.

I can't find the soap tub on sale anywhere even though it is advertised on Cella's webpage. The rest of the green series (cream, AS balm, pre shave) have been available a few months (or more?) but nobody seem to stock the tub yet.

I hope that the shelf life is longer than the red tub, great soap but if you don’t use it every day it seems like it gies rancid in about 3 months.

Yes, this is what I was thinking. Since it is organic, tge shelf life is likely shorter than the red tub. Hard pass for me.

I naively bought a 1 kg brick of Cella.
Great performer - but it turned into a yellow piece of weird mouldy mess after just 4-5 months time. Had to throw 975 grams worth of rancid Cella brick out since I rotate between 100’s of soaps.

Cella is perfect for the shaver who does not rotate soaps, but just uses one shaving soap.

Ouch, that stinks. (Pun intended). Shoot, sorry for you.

I threw out the red tub when my face turned even redder after using it.

This is good advice. If one isn't planning to use up a whole 1 kg brick from start to finish, it's better to buy the small bowl. It does change over time.

I keep my brick in the fridge - that stopped the ’browning’, it’s still snow white.but if I cut a chunk off, I’d better be using it pretty regularly. It’s really just more trouble than it’s worth.

Red tub went bad on me also but i rotate 160+ soaps. Great soap for people that only use 1 soap.
