I am wondering if people still feel the way they did when first purchased this razor - is everyone still hanging on yo their razors?

I had both RS-10 and RS-18 and now are long gone.
The more recent introduction of razors such as the Carbon Shaving Cx and Tatara Masamune Nodachi has completely changed the game, for me. I don't miss either. Gone, too, a Wolfman WR2 and some Charcoal Goods.

The RS-10 is a fantastic razor, but I sold both of mine.

When I found the vintage Star Model 100 and Wilkinson Sticky razors, I knew my search was over. I haven’t bought a safety razor since buying as many of each of those as I could. Straights is another story all together!

I also have hung onto my Gillette 1941, 1946-47, 1948+ Aristocrats, and Blackblade. I have been enjoying them lately as well.

I have not missed the RS-10s either.

Vr

Gentlemen,

My RS-10 is gone. So are my Masamune, Charcoal, Wolfman, BBS-1, all the Gillettes and scores of other safety razors. Really, I just can't find a safety razor that I like enough to keep. Just to have something around, I have ordered the Game Changer .84 and the Timeless aluminum. And so the search continues for that safety razor that comes close to "sweetest."

The Game Changer .84 was an eye opening experience for me. For a brief moment I considered moving it on, but fortunately, reconsidered. It’s a close and smooth shaver for me, Obie. I hope you like it similarly.

h

Obie,
I shave shave every day and the razor du jour is the Haircutandshaveco. All Stainless. Efficient and smooth. I wish I could just use a straight but don’t have the time.

Obie, a straight razor man like you may never find complete satisfaction with any safey razor!

I would love to hear how the carbon shave and the haircut and shave are better then the rs10!

Gentlemen,
Thank you for your comments. Yes, it is difficult to find something comfortable after the straight razor. Perhaps the Game Changer and the Timeless aluminum will stay a little longer than the others. Fingers crossed.

I still have the RS-10.  I also have some Wolfman razors, but the RS-10 and Timeless Ti2 are smoother for me.

I have the SS H&S coming, so can't comment on that one, yet.
The Carbon Cx has a slim head, an efficiency just shy of the Blackbird and exceptional smoothness. Blade feel is minimal. My issue with the RS-10 is that the mild plate is too mild. Moving up to the more aggressive plate loses some of its smoothness. Head is also cumbersome, relatively speaking. The Carbon has A plate efficiency with greater smoothness.
I'm curious now for the H&S.

I've been with the Carbon and H&S SS this week. Quite different from each other, the Carbon being light, nimble, and while not aggressive offering a lot of feedback. The H&S is more beefy, rigid, and goes about its business much more quietly but efficiently.

I still have RS-10 with both plates as well as Carbon and H&S razors. From those three I prefer Carbon but not with original handle.

I still love the RS-10.  It's in a rotation of 10 with others like Wolfman, Charcoal, Weber and H & S N075.  I don't think I will be getting rod of it anytime soon. In the elite category for me.

My RS10 is still in my top 3 razors, had the Carbon and sold it. I believe my RS10 will be in my line up for a long time.

I have the RS18 and love it. It is one of my favorite razors to use. As such I have no plan to get rid of it.

On my face the Carbon was not as smooth as my RS10 and the efficiency of the Carbon was only a small amount better. I prefer smooth
