I heard Kevy say this was the smoothest razor he had ever used so I had to try it. I now have 5 daily shaves in with it using a Feather, Polsilver, GSB, Gillette Platinum and an Astra blade. This is a very smooth razor no matter which blade I used, the only notable difference was how much beard removed on my first pass WTG. It is not as smooth as my RS10 Ti with the aggr plate but it is very close, and cost a lot less. The head is compact and very maneuverable. I’m really glad I picked this razor up as it is a joy to use. Every shave has resulted in a BBS lasting at least 12 hours. I ordered mine with the original Masamune Handle as I prefer the shorter handle with full dimples.

I thought the only difference between the Masamune and the Masamune Nodachi was the handle. However, I received an email from Tatara today indicating that the blade gap for the Masamune is .63mm, and .90 for the Masamune Nodachi.
I also prefer the original Masamune handle, but both handles reflect original and exceptional design.
