This Gents is a whopper of an adjustable from Rocnel. The new Sailor series which I believe is the 3rd one since the first release. Completely different that looks more robust and angular. I haven't been able to take my eyes off of it since Phil posted it on the Bullgoose FB social media site. There is nothing else out there that looks quite like it to be honest.

I'll post the video link below and hopefully the mods won't remove it. It just has to be seen.....

I should have the prototype in a few days. I’ll let you know when I know.

The prototype arrived yesterday but I forgot it at he shop when I went home yesterday. So, shaving with it will have to wait until tomorrow. Here is a quick shot that I snapped of it.

Hubba-Hubba....... Gorgeous!
Any idea what the button on the bottom of the handle is for? Lock in the setting? Or perhaps to unlock the bottom and get the innards out for maintenance, clean up?
Thanks in advance.

The button is for disassembly. I need to play around with it a bit more to give more detail.

Phil, that looks like an impressive piece of engineering and machining.  I'm looking forward to the details.

My initial impressions are very positive. The razor is surprisingly nimble, smooth and, you can really dial it in.

A few people asked to demonstrate how to change a blade in the upcoming sailor Series razor. It is really no different from any two piece razor such as the Merkur 34C.

Weighing in at 146g and with an 85mm handle, the Rocnel Sailor Series razor is built to last!

It is on its way to Ricardo. Due to Columbus Day, he likely won't receive it until Tuesday. I am sure he will post some pictures along with his impressions once he has a chance to take it for a spin.

I received the Rocnel Sailor Prototype today, and will be posting my thoughts as I use it for the next several days.

Upon opening the box, the initial impression one gets is that the machining, fit and finish on the razor are excellent.  It's a hefty, solidly built razor which is obviously designed and built to last.

I'll post further thoughts as I become familiar with the razor.
