I looked at my soaps this morning and used a LaToja stick this morning for my shave and thought, how bout ShaveSticktober? I have Palmolive, Speick, Arko, and La Toja and think that I'll acquire a couple more and use shave sticks for the whole month of October. Anyone else with me?

Dave I like my variety to much to commit to sticks every day of the month but I am up for using them more often. I just got a Tabac stick that I'm very impressed with. I also enjoy my La Toja, Palmolive, Wilkinson, and Valbora sticks very much. I would like to get a D.R. Harris Marlborough stick in the near future as well.

I would so join every one of the something-ber but a month is just too long, I will miss my other soaps/brushes/razors.
I will commit to a first-week-of-sticktober Biggrin

Even though I love my sticks: Arko, Palmolive, Speick, Tabac and the electric blue Wilkinson Sword stick with La Toja next to be purchased, I am too promiscuous with my soaps and creams to commit.

However, I've done pretty well with Semogue September, so perhaps it's worth a shot.

Aww heck, I can't say no to you Dave! 24

Who could complain about a month with Sir Irisch Moos, DRH Arlington, Speick, and La Toja???

I may even get adventurous and make a few new sticks from Calani, Mike's, etc.

If you can make it the whole month without varying, add your name to the list! Biggrin

I'm in.

And to up the ante, I'll be using only Tabac shave stick. So it's a ShaveStickTabactober for me...

It's not as hard as everyone (jokingly) makes it seem. In fact, I can almost bet you'll wonder why you have so many soaps and creams in the first place - just make sure you pick a winner. It's a great way to really learn a product: ideal water/product radio, skin conditioning properties, beard saturation, etc...

I've been using Tabac for the past 7 days and I'm really loving it. Of course, I'm moving at the end of this month and everything else is already packed away, so that makes it easier. But once I'm settled in my new place I plan on sticking with Tabac and seeing it through to its end.

Dave , its a great idea , but the whole month using shaving sticks?

Well, read my signature line and you know how much I like shavesticks that , basically , not longer use that often like a couple years back.

If there is enough room I would be thrilled to join in. I could learn a thing or two. Here is my entry request, and might throw in an Irisch Moos, but cannot promise:

Those, and the mighty 620 will make October a very enjoyable month.

I did not have the chance to try the puck, yet, but the stick is very nice. The lather is outstanding as expected and the scent is great. The scent is more citrusy than I would like and it is probably not the best lavender scent but once the lather is on, the scent is quite pleasant.
Now I remember I just got some Wilkinson sticks and will definitely throw one in. The five of them should make an interesting month.
Simple pleasures in life.

i have yet to finish Semogue-tember! i would join you lads, but the only shave stick i have is a prototype from Mystic Water when Michelle was contemplating the idea. i would not have any issue with using it for a month, but i don't have enough. i guess i could refill it with the Mystic Water Sandalwood soap. Let me think about it as i don't really like shave sticks.
Good luck to you gents.

Here is the fifth stick for the month of October (five Mondays so will get one stick every week):

Never tried the Wilkinson and I have great expectations from this formula.

Speick! Speick! I knew I forgot one. Now what do I do? Maybe one stick for each week and Speick for weekends. Hmmm... What would you do?

I think you will be happy with the Wilkinson stick. It's very good and underrated IMO.
