Came upon this place while doing a search on Brian's (Shadowsdad) new menthol BR. (I have the original)

I got into wet shaving a couple years ago when Brian posted in a BBQforum and gave me the final push as I had been thinking about it for a couple years every time I went to the store for cartridges.

I mostly use a '57 SS and Schick Krona, but also have and occasionally use a Gem 1912 SE.
Also have and see limited action from a Slim, blue tip, Merkur 1904 OC, a couple other Gem's. I cannot get used to using that slim on any setting that makes it worth my while to use often. The blue tip is too mild.
Next up, I want to find an injector, then some kind of new DE.

I have 3 badgers that I restored, all TGN ( finest fan, finest bulb, and pure bulb) plus a Semogue 1305.

I use several creams, but just learned to lather with soap now, and have been on a buying spree of soaps lately. I found out I needed to get rid of the bowl and use more product!

A couple other interests are BBQ and cigars, which in fact I am smoking 2 pork butts and a Padron Londres cigar as I type.

I don't post much but looking forward to the information found here and making any contributions I can.

Some of my arsenal...

Mike, welcome to The Shave Nook. Frisco is one of my favorite smaller towns in Texas, although it is not near as small now as it was when I lived in North Texas 23 years ago.

Don't leave the cigar on the grill too long. Wink

I had an aunt and uncle spend their final 15-20 years in Frisco, TX. They were looking forward to some peace and quiet in their golden years in a sleepy town of 7,000 when they moved into their new duplex. Then Frisco grew exponentially!

Welcome to the Shave Nook! Traditional wetshaving is the way to go!

Thanks for the welcomes!
And for those who know Frisco, it is small no more. Moved here in 1998 it had ~26k, now ~126k. It was listed as the fastest growing in the country from 2000-2009.

Hi Mike and welcome!

The North Texas contingent seems to be growing nicely.

You've got some great items in your pictures. Keep up the good work, and may your shaving-related Acquisition Disorders prosper! Shaving
