Well known for staring in a whole range of horror movies, playing among others as Frankenstein's monster, the mummified Imhotep, a homicidal gangster, the voice of the Grinch, and many more.
Less well known for having sensitive skin and as a spokesperson for Williams' shaving cream..

I saw him in a movie with the star Richard Dix made around 1932. Karloff actually played a good guy.
