Hubby has been using the Henry Cavendish puck the last few years, as it’s what I got him starting out. He has very sensitive skin and it’s worked well. I’m looking for other suggestions for something a little more luxurious? He can handle scented as long as it’s not too harsh and more natural. I’m wanting to put together a nice gift for Christmas for him to enjoy. Thanks!!

You may look into Cold River Soap Works. They have a lot of scents to choose from.

Declaration Grooming, Grooming Department, Jabonman etc are a few more good soaps you may look into.

I would suggest Art of Shaving Unscented cream.  Wonderful product and can be had for less than $13.00 for a can.

Soapy Science, Phoenix & Beau and Fitjar Islands rank high for me (slick, good performance, some nice scents)
Michigan may have some local soap makers.  Grooming Dept Donkey based formula uses Minnesota donkey milk

If sensitive skin is the biggest issue, contact shaving supply vendor (BullGoose, Magaards) for ideas.  Also sounds like low to medium strength scent is desired.

I can suggest Haslinger Schafmilch.  It's recently been reformulated as they went away from tallow and have gone fully vegetable based.  It's mild from a scent standpoint and it produces a nice luxurious lather.  Another one that is tallow based is Mitchell's Wool Fat.  But it's mild and I have yet to hear of someone who has had issues with irritation.  Some have complained about it being hard to lather but I suspect that has more to do with water quality and lack of patience.  I've combined the Mitchell's Wool Fat with the Haslinger Schafmilch (older tallow version) into one tub and it is my favorite soap out of a 50+ collection.  Try the Haslinger and see what he thinks.

It doesn’t get too much more luxurious than the Sebum Blue shaving soap and serum set, which is on sale at 20% off at the moment. This vendor uses top tier ingredients all the way which are good for the face, and the blue fragrance is dominated by blueberries and green fougere!

I have heard wonderful things about the soap, and in my opinion the serum is second to none.

Shannon's Soap was specifically made to combat her husbands sensitive skin.  Additionally, soaps made with just essential oils seem to treat sensitive skinned shavers well.  Black Tie Razor's Sir Henry's Sandalwood really seems to work great for me.  Perhaps a selection of samples from a place that carries many makers soaps would give him the opportunity to find items that work for him without the big outlay on stuff that doesn't.

Wholly Kaw donkey milk unscented is gentle, as is cold river soap works - see if Larry can make some unscented glide, it’s a fantastic base.
Gently scented: CRSW select American barbershop, CRSW Schapenmelk, or Savon du moulin
Speick might also work well, and the matching aftershave is quite healing.

Yes. Shannon’s, Mike’s Natural, Soapy Science and CRSW (Cold River Soap Works) are good places to turn for top quality Unscented soaps. All are worthy of your consideration.

My most luxurious soap is Martin de Candre. The initial cost is high, but one tub will last (almost) forever. Rose and Fougere are my two favorite scents.
