I saw this topic on another forum and thought it might be interesting to see what everyone here's doing.  For me, I've given away a couple prototype brushes, cleaned out some old software, tried minimize my stash (gotta make some room!)--also  refining our business model, working on some new brush projects with Lee, and maybe another thing or three.  Should be interesting.

How about you?

I read this in the NY Times many years ago (here's a poor memory of the details);
1) warm bath
2)  then put on a silk robe
3) $20 cigar
4) $200 scotch
5) at midnight write myself a check for $1,000,000

I'm closing out 2019 with some purchases- my first safety razor and shave soap, and several new AS. I have an old boar brush to use and for 2020 I'll soon buy a badger or high quality synthetic.

Otherwise, I'm finishing up creative writing submissions for the year and spending time writing new material, including a poem and essay on shaving experiences.

I never much cared about New Year's until I married a Japanese woman.
O-shogatsu is the big holiday in that culture, and we will again have the traditional feast!

In the meantime, are you baking up a batch of traditional Japanese Christmas Cakes?

I would like to do #5, but I don’t want to bounce a check to myself.

After a day of skiing I’ll have dinner in my fave 2 star restaurant in the nearby tax free region.
Maybe watch their fireworks over the mountains.
Back home for another glass or two.
To bed early.

Hey, I’m old, I don’t need anything elseSmile
